For the whole Law is fulfilled in one word, in the statement, " YOU SHALL LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR AS YOURSELF." Galatians 5:14
We’ve heard this many times and take it as our call to serve others. And indeed it is. However, look at it also as a call to love yourself as God does. Do not forget yourself when praying. Yes, we should pray for the mothers, fathers, abortionists, staff, and all those harmed by abortion. Pray for peace on earth and an end to suffering of all kind. Yet, pray first that God will work in you. Then, and only then, can He work through you. Ask that He will help you feel His love so deeply that you will see the endless possibilities in YOU. Then you can attend to your work in His name. Ask God to fill you with peace and guide your actions today. Then you can be the one to help bring your prayers for others into being. In case you missed the news of this last week about the abortionist in Philadelphia who was arrested and charged with murder, you can read about it here http://www.wgal.com/r/26540173/detail.html. A Fund for Luci and Joe Thank you to those of you who have already answered the call to help this family in crisis. A fund has been set up through the Women’s Center to help cover the pregnancy costs for Luci and Joe (a couple who chose LIFE at Forest View!) Luci just began her 2nd trimester. If you would like to send a donation, write a check out to the Women’s Center but in the memo line write “For Luci and Joe’s baby.” You can send the check to: The Women’s Center 2720 S. River Rd. #234 Des Plaines, IL 60018 No amount is too small. Any amount will be a blessing for this baby and the family. News from the last two weeks’ Forest View vigils: **SEVEN innocent lives were lost to abortion two weeks ago at Forest View. ** However, through the grace of God, one baby was saved and her mother saved from a lifetime of regrets! The young girl came in first thing in the morning (7:00 am) with her mother. Terry was there to give her information about the lawsuits that have been filed against Dr. Goyal. (See attached) The girl was horrified and took the sheet into Forest View to show her mother who had already entered. A few hours later the girl left, waving and smiling to Terry as they drove away! Please pray that this girl will receive the support she needs to stand firm in her choice for LIFE. ** A gas leak that occurred during the construction outside FV prevented anyone from getting to the clinic after 10:30. Unfortunately, the doctor had already arrived, but at least no one else could enter the place of killing that day! ** Last Thursday SIX women made a choice they will never forget. One couple entered the building but then left before the doctor arrived. We do not know why, but our hope is in the Lord. ** A very conflicted young man who kept coming outside while his girlfriend aborted his child, told me he was against the abortion. However, like so many who drive someone to get an abortion, he did not have the strength, perseverance, or faith in God to defend his baby. Please pray that those who are asked to drive abortion-bound women will be blessed with special courage and Grace. ** Thank you to all of the faithful prayer warriors who have been so giving of their time to brave the cold and stand vigil. If you haven’t made it to a clinic yet, rest assured that your prayers are a blessing, but your presence would be inspiring. We need YOU! If you can ever make it on a Thursday morning, you will make a difference. This Saturday you have a weekend opportunity to see what standing vigil at Forest View is all about. Contact Greg and Sandy at [email protected]. They run the last Saturday Forest View vigils. News about your spiritually adopted baby: **Your spiritually adopted baby is 35 weeks old. Her reflexes are coordinated. She turns her head, grasps firmly, and respond to sounds, light and touch. The mother will feel movement every day. The baby is about 5 ½ pounds and growing fast. Soon she will celebrate her birth day, thanks to your prayers! Our plans for a baby shower to celebrate are in the works. More information to come. For more information on spiritual adoption go to www.spiritualadoption.org. Have a blessed day!
