Who is NorthWest Families for LIFE and what do they do?
NorthWest Families for Life was founded in May 2010 by sisters
Laura Vandercar and Maria Goldstein. They began with a passion to offer hope and help to women in crisis pregnancies. They soon realized that there were countless others as passionate as they are but who either weren't sure how to get involved or just needed some coordination of efforts. |

We are peaceful, believing that we must be the face of Jesus to the women entering the clinic. We attempt to share His light and love with them and offer alternatives to killing their child - adoption (closed adoption, open adoption) or motherhood. We work closely with Avenue Women's Center, the crisis pregnancy center 1 block from the abortion clinic, to show the women that people not only care, but will also aid them financially, emotionally, and spiritually during the pregnancy and beyond. Through the power of prayer and sidewalk counseling we have been blessed to witness over 200 women chose LIFE and welcome their babies into this world. Our efforts were also blessed when in 2012 Dimensions abortion mill where we held a Jericho March shut down. Then again in 2014 Forest View abortion mill closed its doors after we prayed and counseled there weekly for 4 years. God is good!
