“The time came for her to have her child.”
Luke 2:6 With these simple words, Luke informs us that the time of waiting for a Savior is over. The time for rejoicing has come. The time for God to enter visibly into the world is upon us. I want to focus on those first 3 words, "The time came." Time is such an elusive commodity. Most of us probably feel like we have too little, especially during the Christmas season, but really isn't it always like that? Still the truth is that no matter if we feel like we have too little time or too much time on our hands, God is the one in control of when the time is right. He alone declares the time is come. And it seems to us that the time has come for the Wood Dale abortion clinic. The time has come to shut it down! NorthWest Families for Life has had a presence there for over 4 years, but many things are currently changing. - A young new abortionist, Dr. Kimberly Remski from Michigan, is taking over for Dr. Goyal. Read about her "calling to do abortions" here. - The clinic is changing abortion days from Thursday to Friday. This means that our new vigil schedule at Wood Dale is Tuesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays. - This change in schedule is also impacting our prayer coverage. We need help on Fridays! We've taken these changes as a sign that during this state of flux at the clinic, it's time to redouble our efforts in the New Year. If you are able to join us we could use all prayer hands on deck! Finally, thank you from the bottom of our hearts to all of you who reached out with love and support upon the death of our dad. He is celebrating Christmas with the Birthday Boy Himself! Laura and I wish you and your families a very blessed and Merry Christmas! News from October and November vigils in Wood Dale: ** During the months of October and November, we estimate that 87 women made a choice to take the life of their child. ** However, we were blessed to witness 3 SAVES! Two of them happened after the couple was sitting in the car talking for long periods of time. This busts a common myth that pro-aborts will tell us; they say that there is no point of us being there because people "have already made up their minds." Clearly, these 2 couples had not! Thanks to the loving presence of people on the sidewalk praying for them, they will have a blessed Christmas embracing the gift of life! ** We made contact with the older Indian female anesthesiologist at Wood Dale. It just so happened that I was getting gas after leaving vigil on a Tuesday at the station right next to the clinic when I noticed she was at the pump right next to me! I had given her a letter from Abby Johnson's group "And Then There Were None" a few weeks earlier. She remembered me but said she hadn't called. I introduced myself and she told me to call her "Sanka - like the coffee." Interestingly when I asked her what she did, Sanka told me, "I just clean up." She also said that she prays God will forgive her. I encouraged her to call the number for ATTWN and we parted ways. Please pray intentionally for this daughter of God to take the first step to seeking His forgiveness NOW by quitting her job! ** Are you feeling called to join a prayer vigil at a clinic but nervous to take that first step? Please email or call us. We were once just like you! We would love to offer information, advice, and support. Maria: [email protected] or Laura: 847-651-4877. Pray for These Abortion Employees
