“Therefore, my dear brothers and sisters, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain.” Corinthians 15:58
What beautiful encouraging words! “Your labor in the Lord is not in vain.” No matter what you are doing today, if you remain in the Lord, your work is not in vain. When you discipline your children, if it is done out of love for them and the Lord, it is not in vain. When you make dinner, if you cook with the health and well-being of your family in mind, it is not in vain (even if your youngest won’t touch it!). When you have a conversation with a co-worker or friend about God, it may be the seed that grows to bloom (even if they leave seemingly unchanged). Every time you go to pray at an abortion mill, even if you do not see a “save,” your labor is NEVER in vain. The Lord sees all. In these trying times of dubious Religious Freedom we need words of encouragement like these. We will stand firm and let nothing move us! See Upcoming Events below for information on how to get involved in a “Fortnight for Freedom” which begins tomorrow, June 21. News from the last two Thursdays’ Forest View vigils: ** On Thursday, June 7, we estimate EIGHT children were killed at Forest View. ** We were able to talk to several women and some took literature. We pray for their healing and recovery. ** On Thursday, June 14, we estimate that FIVE women “chose” death for their unborn babies. ** There was a save! A young couple exited before the abortionist showed up. She was covering her stomach with her hands in an almost protective way. They took literature about the Women’s Center and left smiling and waving! Thanks be to God! ** WE ARE IN GREAT NEED OF MORE PRAYER WARRIORS! Would you be able to spend one hour at the foot of the cross? Every Thursday we strive to have at least two people outside Forest View praying for the women, children, men, and employees at all times from 7:00 am – 1:00 pm. It is so important for them to know there is someone there for them. However, we have had a hard time covering the hours of 11:00 am – 1:00 pm. There is easy parking nearby and you will always be greeted with a smile! Call Laura if you’ve been considering attending a vigil and get more information: 847-651-4877 News about your spiritually adopted baby: ** Your spiritually adopted baby is 29 weeks old. The mother is probably feeling VERY pregnant these days and may be uncomfortable. Pray for her to embrace this time of preparation and look forward to the day she will hold her baby in her arms. And, of course, pray every day for your spiritually adopted baby. To spiritually adopt a baby, pick up a prayer card in the vigil kit or go online at www.spiritualado
